Fun and games

The Lake District holidaymakers came for lunch today, having arrived home late yesterday afternoon.

They brought with them to Granny and Grandpa’s a Sleeping Queens card game and a yellow boomerang, both of which they had bought in Ambleside, and also their trusty air powered rocket. 

Much fun was had in the garden after lunch, and Daddy was kept busy climbing a ladder to retrieve the boomerang, which on more than one occasion ended up on a small single-storey roof …
