Abundance

Life has been so busy recently that I’ve got rather behind with my dead heading and watering in the garden (and my Blip commenting … sorry.)

Nevertheless, when I went out to try and find a blip for today, I was surprised at how many photos I could have used, despite the dry conditions – so much so, in fact, that I’m presenting you with yet another collage.

The centre square shows the ash tree branches, absolutely laden with samaras (I’m practising using my new word!). It seems that ash trees can produce thousands of these fruits (also called keys).

And did you know that wind dispersal of samaras is known as anemochory

You heard it here first … Not at all, my pleasure …  ;-)
