"it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort"

After a trip to the laundrette and Aldi this morning, the day mainly revolved around going to my sister's to see my family. I received birthday presents, cards, and Jeri had baked a Hobbit-hole birthday cake! She asked me a couple of weeks ago what kind of cake I would like and I suggested a Lord Of The Rings theme.

The flavour was po-tay-toes and lembas bread, with a hint of Denethor's tomato. Okay that was a lie. It was chocolate sponge with Oreo butter cream! And yes, it was absolutely delicious!

We also watched the final of the Women's Euros. Despite Spain's (and the referee's) best efforts, England came out on top to bring it home in back to back Euros after a tense penalty shoot-out!
