Big Win!

We woke early, as a workman had said he was coming to fix the path to the front steps. I had messaged him last night, but he didn't reply. Today I discovered he is still in Italy. His flight was overbooked, so he was trying to find his way back. He hasn't said when he can reschedule.

We should have been well on time for the service at Wonersh, but as it happens, we were ten minutes late. We walked in to them singing the last verse of one of my favourite hymns (And Can It Be). It isn't sung often, so I was miffed that I'd missed it.

We went on to Specsavers to collect my new glasses, except only one pair was ready. I was not happy about needing to go back again. We talked about going to a pub to watch the Euro Women's Final, but as it happened, the Firestick worked, so we got to watch it at home, courtesy of ITV X. A great win for England's Lionesses! :)))

I found the John Wayne movie McLintock on Amazon Prime later. I wonder why they don't make cowboy movies anymore!
