Just after the rockfall

A busy morning playing with the grandchildren and deciding to save the visit to the beach to the afternoon. It’s been rather cloudy and with some rain during the morning. So after lunch we walked into town.

By now the sun had come out and we stood for awhile looking down at the sea from steamer steps. Some people were swimming and paddle boarding and others just enjoying the beach. We walked down past the fishing area and a little while later looked back to see a cloud of red dust around the cliff. There had just been a rockfall and we were surprised to see how many people appeared to be still staying in the area. You can see the area of fall in the the blip. I don’t think there were any injuries fortunately.

After this we continued round to the playground where both grandsons enjoyed themselves. It was then back home with the usual bedtime rituals although we were babysitting this evening as our daughter and son in law were visiting friends. All went relatively easily especially since the youngest had missed his afternoon nap and was quickly asleep.
