Still celebrating

Another quiet morning the highlight of which was Mei Mei having a facial. Outside it was cool and rainy. As I opened the blind there was also the worrying sight of the ambulance once again taking my neighbour over the road to RIE. And there was a slight panic about the KL apartment changeover, so maybe not to quiet after all.

An earlier start today and #2 son took me down to the Manor in time for #3 son and I to get Mum in a noon taxi, ready for the 3rd day of celebrations out at J's in Roslin. Today it was family, 23 adults and 9 children, 6 great grandchildren and 3 great great nieces. Photos were taken, but not many by me. We decided to cater and there was a lot of food, and wine and cake from yesterday.

#1 son and WH left early getting a lift to D and A to Glasgow on the start of their walk up the West Highland Way. The weather improved, the sun came out and most of us were able to sit out on the patio, though it was a bit breezy. We planned a family outing and get together tomorrow.

Got Mum, who was very tired and a bit overwhelmed with white wine, home and then sat with the girls for a while before overruling movie night and getting us all to bed relatively early.

J phoned with some sad news. One of Mum's longest standing friends who couldn't come yesterday as she was celebrating her daughter's birthday, died in her sleep on Friday night, only 78.
