Yet more dahlias

This time the colour is on the tips. The clouds gave way to sunshine so I worked outside on the laptop for most of the morning.

Then at lunchtime the rat was spotted crossing towards the greenhouse. I discovered evidence not only of small cucumbers being eater but also burrowing in the potato bags. Thinking back to my comment the other day about being surprised at the height at which some cucumbers had been eaten, I suppose I should not have been. The phrase “rat up a drainpipe” must exist for a reason.
