Busy Day!

I played golf (poorly) with my women's league this morning - gorgeous morning, regardless of the poor performance. Followed that by a bunch of errands and ended the day with a pedicure and a video chat with my dear friend Eli and her 18 month old daughter who adores my kitties! She calls me "Auntie Cutie Katie" be still my heart!

This is my mom's rose, which has appeared in this journal many times. I took a cutting of her rose the week after she died. It rooted, and I grew it, but it is not the same as the vibrant orange roses that were on her bush. Hmmm. The only thing I can think of is that I took a cutting from a branch that grew from below the graft. But it's still my mom's rose and it reminds me of her every day I see it!
