Larig Ghru - Day 2
The wind had calmed down a lot by the time I woke up and my hopes of packing the tent without being plagued by midges were dashed. I packed as quickly as possible and went to the bothy (first extra) to find that the people who slept there still hadn't packed and there was no space. They packed fairly quickly and we could all huddle there and have breakfast inside. Sadly the group of three who had occupied the bothy were a bit unpleasant and patronising to my friend Karen who was trying to make conversation. We didn't hang around, had breakfast and moved on.
Today was always going o be an easy day - there were only 12 km left and the terrain was much easier - so we really took out time over it, stopped for an early lunch and took photos along the way. Gill had had a fall in the boulder field and her hip was starting to hurt, and I guess, there was also the tiredness of having carried a heavy pack for a while. Still, it was a very pleasant day, the weather much better than forecast and we were soon at the lovely Linn of Dee.
