Pukekawa at morning twilight
After yesterday's deluge it was good to wake to cloudy skies and no more rain. S and I went to New Lynn for me to catch the train to Grafton. We got there in time for me to catch the 06:30 train. A trouble free trip with many empty seats. Commuters were discombobulated by all the cancellations yesterday, and I think that today they decided to go by car (or bus).
There were many patients to be assessed as to their progress. I was pleased to learn that a very manic young man was substantially better after a week of high dose lithium. He had initially refused to take it but after giving information, he agreed, and (as I have seen repeatedly) he recognised the change, and wants to continue the treatment. Especially when we endorsed hie request to have time in the open air and under the trees of Pukekawa (Auckland Domain).
