Above And Beyond...

The Dower House

We met up with our friends, Steve & Julia, at The Parish Church (1834AD), Frenchay, Bristol (UK) (see extra) to do a cycle ride around Bristol.  It's a very beautiful and upmarket suburb, not typical Bristol, and surrounded by lovely open countryside.

After a couple of miles we were in Stoke Park alongside the M32 than runs into Bristol. I've driven past The Dower House (1533AD) many times over the years but it was lovely to be infront of it and take a photo', with the stunning blue sky and white clouds enhancing its beauty. Ideal for this week's W-I-D-E on Wednesday Challenge theme of 'Old'.

Another Bristol icon I've seen many times,  but today managed a photo' is of  Pursdown BT Tower (1970AD) shown in the extra.

After a 12 mile ride, we arrived back at the car where the kettle went on for a brew and chat before heading home. Lovely sunny weather with a 27 C temperature.  Thankfully no showers like yesterday!
