Montreux
This is my favourite statue along the lake in Montreux. The little boy in the statue is on a ladder and he's holding a marble up against the sky. The caption (part of a poem) at the base of the ladder says: "And what if my marble were the moon?" I've added an extra showing the ladder, but I prefer the angle of the main shot!
Today I went with a friend for a lovely day's outing. We chose Montreux so that we could take the lovely steam boat back to Lausanne. It takes about 1:30 hrs.
The weather was fantastic, at around 24 degrees, just clouding over towards the end. The forecast is good for tomorrow, but not for Friday which is the Swiss National Day on August 1st. It's also a holiday.
Extras:
- View along the lake
- A huge Hibiscus flower
- Sailing boat and vineyards taken from our boat ride back
- A different angle on the main photo, showing the boy on the ladder.
