At the Zoo

A hectic morning getting everything ready to go out. Unfortunately, J came round 20 minutes later than agreed so there eating didn't get hung out as planned but we did get her to the bus on time and then we managed to catch our bus with a minute to spare.

There was a huge queue at the Zoo, even fitted those with prepaid tickets but we found Carole and coming the queue which was good.

It was a lovely day, very warm and sunny which was probably why a lot of animals were unseen. We had a sandwich in the grass and dinner of us had ice cream. The Zoo is not cheap, they even charged for water. Today cost me almost £100 for 3 of us.

However, the kids enjoyed it, it was good exercise and we didn't lose anyone. However, the bus journey home was horrendous, packed full, hot, slow and so busy not picking up passengers from S Bridge to Liberton. And this is only Day 1 of the Festival. #1 soon and WH were already home but not the other two. I cooked the, though I was exhausted. The bedding that was only put out late afternoon ended up in the tumble drier.

A quiet day tomorrow I think
