Valletta
We had a quiet day today after yesterday's sea trip. Most of the day was spent at the pool. There has been a bit of a wind these last few days which has kept the temperatures down a bit but it's still around 30+. I alternated between the sea and the pool throughout the day. I keep out of the sun when I'm not in the water, scurrying back to my shady corner! Even so, I am very brown! The first picture in the collage is the swimming section of the bay which is roped off for hotel guests to use.
The second image is a rather splendidly coloured hibiscus I spotted in the hotel grounds. The man with the keyboard sits for an hour or so every evening just inside the main gate to Valletta in Republic Street. He plays his keyboard and has toys for sale for Charity. He's always very cheery and unlike many of the buskers doesn't have a speaker blasting out a sound track to play along with . The last picture I was pleased to recognise as an evergreen oak. It was growing amongst Olive trees but when I looked at the fruits I realised they were in fact acorns.
On my lazy day today I only managed 11,500 steps. Thank goodness it wasn't a busy day, lol.
