Torre Butchers

I was absolutely overwhelmed when I walked into the Torre Butcher Shop in Northbridge today.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more spectacular display .  This particular butcher shop has operated from the same location for 80 years with three owners over that time.  I was on a mission to buy some meat for Mauzee’s Massamum Curry and to be honest had been really disappointed that real butcher shops seemed to be a thing of the past in Perth.  Not anymore!  I’m going to add some extra shots so don’t bother going and looking if you’re a vegetarian.  Simon is the lovely friendly butcher in my main image.  He kindly cut some of their beautiful leg ham as a welcome gift from the shop, how nice was that!   We don’t eat as much red meat as we used to these days so when we do we really want to know that it’s good quality.
