Ramblings and Mutterings

Wonderful

Another walk across London to work. It was quite warm and it was drizzling a bit.

Saw this board at Bond Street Elizabeth line station.

Struggled a bit today. I wandered off to the park on my own and just watched the world go by.

Another meeting to talk about handing over my work. There was some discussion about work required, my young padawan had to remind them that I would not be here much longer so it was inappropriate to talk about work required.

In the evening I was out with my young padawan. We decided to get some exercise after work, so walked quite a way to the restaurant where we dining. But as we were running a bit late, we had to catch the tube.

We dined at the Holy Carrot in Portobello Road, a vegan restaurant. The starter we had was koji bread with smoked mushroom chilli ragu and oh my God, it was absolutely amazing. I could have had more. For my main I had grilled onions, but there were far too many so I couldn't eat it all.

After we made our way to the Royal Albert Hall to see Rachmaninov's 2nd piano concerto. This was the first Proms concert my young padawan has ever been to and she absolutely loved it. We have a few more concerts lined up this summer.

I made sure she got safely home at the end of the night.

Today I am thankful for:

1. A wonderful evening with my young padawan
2. Amazing food at the Holy Carrot
3. A fantastic BBC Proms concert
4. A good London morning walk
