Wood Avens

Just the seed head. The flowers have all died back by now but note all those tiny little hooks and barbs. Apparently they are the plants way of distributing seeds. An animal or a human passes by and the barbs catch onto hide or clothing ready to be deposited somewhere else in similar fashion. Got in close with an extension ring between lens and body.
