Life Finds A Way
I had a bit of a chore filled day, and found myself going from place to place to place.
I did though, take the camera.
And I was struck by how many opportunities for photos actually came up. There's little bits of nature everywhere!
Lancaster is fortunate enough to be surrounded by countryside on 3 sides (and sea on the other; yes I am counting Morecambe and Heysham as part of Lancaster, however much this might displease residents of the latter two), so there's never far to go to discover the green and the pleasant.
But I was in the City Centre for the most part, or in residential areas, and yet there was still so much natural splendour poking out from nooks and crannies; from gardens; from little reclamations; from rewilded snatches of urbanism.
It's not that I didn't already know all this, but sometimes you can find yourself marvelling at a thing that you knew and realising how marvellous it is all over again.
Anyway, here is a rose, resplendent in red.
