Rudbeckia At The Castle
Today I went out a bit earlier than normal, did a bit of photography, then met my partner for a spot of coffee and chilling at The Castle, before we went off and spent time in the Storey Gardens again.
A pleasant way to spend a nice day, that had promised to be grey and soggy when the alarm went off this morning.
I love rudbeckia, but because of a mixture of not getting the best shots, and then choosing other photos, I've not yet featured them. I thought it high time to fix that. This nice yella fella was found, along with hundreds of its peers, outside the castle. The flower beds outside the castle are great, and although this is true of every year, the gardeners deserve high praise this year. What a brilliant job they've done.
In the extras today we have a spike-loving spider and a battered- but still beautiful- poppy; again from the gardens outside Lancaster Castle.
Enjoy your weekend, folks.
