The Rock of Gibraltar
Today, we ‘did’ the Rock.
We took a bus to the bottom. Took a cable car up to the top. And began a huge discovery walk.
In the photo is St Michael’s cave. We were astounded to see the stalagmites and stalactites and my A level geography had to kick in.
MightyMouse and NoaNoa were gobsmacked by the monkeys (see extras) and Elbows and I were obsessed by the WW2 stuff about the caves and espionage and the clever intelligence stuff behind warring.
The wander was physically challenging. To look at the various ‘attractions’, there was quite a lot of wandering up and down steep paths. And eating a packed lunch had to happen in a spot that was monkey’less. We had lots of warnings about their prowess.
See extras.
We landed up walking all the way down. It was a good good day.
