By the roadside

The good news is contracts have been signed with completion on 14 August.  The removal company WILL move us.  Could have done without the uncertainty yesterday resulting in a restless night.


Thank you all for your thoughts, wishes following the ups and downs. 

Apart from a dog walk been at home.  Caught up with a bit of ironing and more clearing shelves and packing.

Found the albums with photos from 1979 -1981.  And found my large, A3 size book of The Rime of the Ancient Mariner poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge with evocative illustrations by Gustave Doré.  Mr has a copy with illustrations by Mervyn Peake.

Between Mr and I we've packed about 50 boxes, the majority being books.  I'm looking forward to catching up with a lot of reading, particularly after seaside dog walks on autumn and winter afternoons.

Should have a peaceful night's rest tonight.
