Reflections

Two parcels were delivered this morning ... neither of them were the parcel I had paid the £7 fee for and which was due to be delivered today.  I hung on in case it was delivered later and when it hadn't arrived by 5pm I phoned Royal Mail.

Was on hold for 20 mins.  The chap I spoke to took all the relevant details and he said he was confident that it would still arrive today.  I said I doubted whether it would come as I had never had a Royal Mail parcel delivered after 5pm.  Still he insisted it would come today as it was " in the system " according to his records and they make deliveries up to 7.30pm. Of course it didn't get delivered.  So now I will have to phone up again tomorrow ( unless by some miracle it gets delivered tomorrow ). The chap said the best time to phone is in the morning as its less busy then.  But of course if I phone in the morning I bet they will say .... hang on till later as it could still be delivered.  I feel like Im going round in circles.  It seems like my local sorting office has lost the parcel ... but hopefully I'm wrong.

I stayed at home today and intended getting a few chores ticked off the to do list. I didn't do as much as I intended.  I did do a load of washing and some pruning in the front garden... the green bin is now full again.  

Didn't go to Slimming Group.  Couldn't be bothered... and I haven't managed to get back " on plan " since I returned from Northallerton.  Hopefully I will get some motivation to get back on it in the coming days.  

Weather was changeable today.  Dry and muggy but very dull and we had a few spells of light rain.

Got my blip shot in the back garden.  The Abstract Thursday theme is 'reflections' .  The reflections in my blip are in a metal ball.  Its meant to be a shiny metal ball but its rather grubby and needs a good wash.  I will add that chore to the to do list.  Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting.
