What a day!

Bit of a mad one today. We had a lovely lie-in, then breakfast, and after that I walked over to work to catch up with my old line manager – I’d heard last night that she’d be popping into the local branch.

It was really nice to see everyone again, even though it’s only been ten weeks since I left. I shared my news about becoming a grandma again – everyone agreed the timing worked out perfectly with my retirement.

Later in the afternoon, we had a massive thunderstorm – rain absolutely pelting it down and the humidity was unreal. I ended up stripping off to my undies and standing out in the garden! Completely bonkers, but honestly, it felt amazing. Paul just looked at me like I’d lost the plot!

After dinner, we went for a walk and on the way back as I crossed the road I spotted this – looked like a ball of fire in the sky. Absolutely stunning.
