Seeing Beyond Looking

A Ride through the Vineyards

Since today is the first day of August, and also the Swiss National holiday, I wanted to do a little outing!  Another lovely day. The weather was a bit hotter, 25 degrees, but there was a pleasant breeze blowing.

It took me 50 minutes (and three buses) to get down to the lakeside small town of Lutry! I had a long walk along the lake and then I looked into the timetable of the little train that takes people through the vineyards above the lake.

I came back home by another route and only two buses which took 40 minutes. I didn't need to cook my lunch because I had delicious leftovers from yesterday!

Main photo: a little chalet, decorated with Swiss flags for the occasion and set among the vineyards.
Extras:
- The beautiful walk along the water's edge
- The view from the vineyards looking down to the lake. A steam boat is passing
- The place where we stopped to have refreshments
- The little train that took us on our ride
