Wild carrot
Really pleased to find wild carrot in our meadow. W went to gardening club this morning, and brought Heide back with him. She is the guiding teacher at the club, which is run as adult education. We wanted advice on a couple of things in our garden - such as where we should plant fruit trees.
She was very interested to meet Husky - I think she'd like to get one for her garden. It was Heide who pointed out the wild carrot - I have to admit I hadn't really noticed it, I'd just assumed the white flowers were more (we have had lots) hogweed - though once we really took the trouble to look, the hogweed has in fact pretty much stopped flowering, and of course, wild carrot doesn't really look much like it, anyway!
Later, I harvested another large crop of beans - runner beans and the purple string beans, and we had another session of parboiling and freezing. Along with a portion for our dinner this evening.
