A Lotta Cuteness

Today was Cardiology Clinic for me and to get there and back, I pass by the conservation area, so it was an easy stop on the way home to go for a short walk around the marsh. And the weather was perfect...early morning and cool temps. 

But ...where have all the geese gone? There was not a one, and not a swan either. Only ducks. Very puzzling... Mom and her babes seemed quite accustomed to being on display. The path from the parking lot leads directly to them (extra) so they must get a lot of visitors and are now used to posing for photos, as it was an easy blip! 

I took full advantage of the great weather and did some dead-heading in the garden, and later in the evening, with the sprinkler going, sat in my rocking chair on the side deck, just gazing out at my new evolving garden. (extra) I feel so fortunate to have that private space out back - a respite from the hurly burly, in a garden that someone else looks after,  and in a garden that is finally starting show some colour!  At last! 

PS: I won't have results from my echogram or from this hideous heart monitor I am wearing under my shirt for a while. I am hoping, in vain I am sure, that I will have them before heading to the cottage next weekend....but nothing I can do about that..just crossing my fingers that all is well.
