The Dabblers- our first exhibition

Wel, here we are at our first exhibition of digital art by older people in Stirling university.
We have called ourselves Dabblers because we are dabbling with a new way of making art and looking at the world .

This innovative project is led  by Dr Sungkyung Kim and his team and we plan to continue our work.

Dr Kim is currently researching the role of AI  in our society in relation to elite sports people,  and the way it can be used to empower communities and enhance the well-being of older people through embracing new technologies.

We learnt through a series of workshops how to use Procreate, a powerful drawing software programme to make digital collages of our lives.
Then we had to present this to a small audience of family and friends – this was far more unnerving than learning the software!

We are a mixed bunch of older people (from left to right) Andrew, architect, James, university lecturer, Ingrid, graphic artist, Stuart , maths teacher, Ann, journalist /artist.
