Where The WiFi Goes
The world has become a smaller place so the saying goes and I guess using my family as an example I’d say it has.
Mrs S and Sam are in the village of Long Compton in Oxfordshire.
Sarah, Manolo, Luis and Hugo are at their respective homes in Plymouth
Barry, Janette, Chloe and Freya are in California, Alcatraz today I believe.
Joshua and Tiana are at Kirkwall in the Orkney’s, today visiting St Magnus cathedral.
Paddy and I are at home in Falmouth
All of us enjoying our days and our rich and different surroundings, I’m looking forward to some postcards dropping on the mat.
Mine and Paddy’s day was completely different to yesterdays, more leisurely, less people. We again enjoyed our cooked breakfast following which I wrote a couple of letters. We then settled for the third Lions Test. Torrential rain, ‘Lightening Break’ and poor rugby from the tourists meant it never held my attention and I never went back to it after the re-start. Those factors meant I felt better about not accepting any of the three ‘Lions Breakfast’ invitations I’d received.
I paid some bills, the rate that money goes out of my accounts against the rate it comes in is quite remarkable! Carried on in the garden, it’s beginning to resemble a garden now instead of ‘Steptoe’s Yard’, and went for a walk with Paddy.
Today is the mid day of three of just Paddy and I at home, do I enjoy it? Up to a point yes, but three days is about enough, looking forward to the house having some noise and movement on Monday.
Meanwhile Paddy and I have things to do.
Today’s photo, a cruise liner in the bay off loading passengers by boat. There’s so many of them logging onto the free WiFi or using the 4G that the local system cannot support the load, download speed drops or disappears.
