Sleepy Fox
I had to nip upstairs for this view of a fox that decided to nap in the border by the Unnamed Rose.
I had seen it take up its position and thought it a very small, thin specimen. Looking at the other photos, there appears to be an injury to its mouth but there's little I can do except possibly put out soft food and hope it can recover.
Earlier, when leaving church I was trying to take a photo of a gull feeding amid the mass of pigeons in Nicolson Square, when I realised that actually it was there to hunt and had caught a pigeon. No amount of persuasion or chase would make it release the bird so we had to let it go. I have photos but decline to post them here.
We are now prepared for Storm Floris to come tearing in; our ticketed event at North Berwick to see Hamza Yassin has already been cancelled and even if it can be rearranged, we may not all be available to go. However, I hope everyone stays safe, that's more important than a show.
