Socialising
It’s been a busy day and a sociable one. First we went to church, where there was a service centred around the children’s Holiday Club. Very lively :-)
Then Mum and I caught the bus to Lewes. We spent a delicious hour in Waterstones - the Lewes branch is in a lovely old building, all hidden nooks and creaky floors. I took a photo of an elderly couple who were engrossed in reading a book for most of the time we were in the shop. I shall add it as an extra. Then on to Bill’s, where we met two of my nieces and a nephew, all my sister’s children. Here they are on the way back to Brighton after our lunch.
At 5pm, I met fellow blipper Bivbov in Waitrose car park in Uckfield and we had a wonderful (6 mile) walk and talk.
Then back to watch “My Big Fat Greek Wedding “ with Mum.
It’s my last night here, I am catching the sleeper home tomorrow evening. The sleeper trains to Aberdeen and Inverness have all been cancelled, but mine (to Glasgow) is still running, so far, just a little slower than usual. I am hoping that everyone and our trees stay safe tomorrow.
