Sorting
I spent the morning tidying the garden - before the rain set in, I had achieved quite a lot. Then Mum and I set about sorting some more of Dad’s stuff. We have already sent a lot of his clothes to charity shops, but there are still drawers full of jumpers and T- shirts. They will have to wait until my next visit. Today we were tackling the three drawers in his bedside cabinet, such a personal place and such a random collection of things. It brought back some nice memories, though.
When we had had enough, we went for lunch at the coffee shop at the end of the road. It’s a place I love to go - they roast their own coffee once a week.
Then we took some books to the Cancer Research shop, where Mum’s friend Ann works on a Monday (see extra).
I am on my way to London now. Mum was sad when I left and so was I, but I am looking forward to seeing D, Jess, Sarah, Chris and Merry tomorrow, and of course my garden.
