Storm Floris ..
..gave us a wet morning. Now it’s sunny and bright but very breezy. There may be more to come but so far we seem to have been on the edge as predicted.
We decided against shopping this morning so after a bit of ironing and Chris sorting out our travel insurance….! I decided to do a bit more of my birthday jigsaw.
Another very tricky Angela Harding but I couldn’t resist asking my son to add it to my birthday present when I spotted it in Waterstones. I did the yellow path before we went to Bath last month, the ‘easiest’ part of the puzzle I think because of the colour.
I’m never very happy with ‘portrait’ jigsaws so the top part of the sky and birds has been left till last. At the weekend I did the waves in the foreground and sorted the green pieces for the ocean. It’s gone together surprisingly well today but I’ve given it a rest now to avoid getting back ache.
I hope all blip friends living further west and north are safe. We have been thinking about ‘our’ wee hoose in Coigach. One thing I’m glad about is that we aren’t currently on a coastal path exposed to the cliff top winds anywhere. Many years ago we visited Kynance Cove when Alex was a baby. I left him in the car with Chris and went to the edge for the view on my hands and knees!
