Jazz night

No more Wednesday drumming until next term, but occasionally some of us meet for coffee during the holidays. This morning it was in Shelley, and Lesley kindly gave me a lift there and back. A sociable couple of hours in good company.

Jazz in the evening. I had intended to take a photo of the musicians, but the lighting in the pub is so bad - and seems to get worse by the week - that I didn't manage any decent shots. So here's one of my drinks, or what remains of them. Interesting fact of the day - According to my blood sugar monitor, the almond croissant I had with this morning's coffee has a very bad effect on my blood sugar, whereas a large glass of red wine, drunk at the same time as sparkling water, has no effect at all!

The barman in the pub knows that I prefer a straight glass, but why he chose this particular one is anybody's guess!
