Flood the world deep in sunlight

Tooli's Birthday...

I was struggling to get my photos in order, I don't know if my date was incorrect, but all the sequence seems all over the place. It looks like we were both at Eden, the Minack, and Lands End all at the same time.

Today we took off to Eden.    Roads were not bad.  We have swapped positions.  I sit in the back, this reduces the sharp intakes of breath when approaching sharp bends, and means that Himself does not have punch marks up and down his arm.  Much more satisfactory.

We parked in Plum, and walked through, Lime, Lemon, Apple, Orange and banana to get to the front entrance.   We took the leisurely most slopey path.

Loved all the flower and plants in the gardens.   Wandered through an exhibition of plant / microbe   Had a coffee before entering the Domes.   In preparation.    It was needed.

It was very, very warm in the "Rainforest" dome.  Warm and Damp - as you can see by my frizzy hair  in the photo. (see Extra).

Mediterranean was much dryer, and also had a lot of plants I recognised.

After the domes, we had lunch.  Eden runs pretty well for all the people who are there.  Tables to be had, tables clean, lots of food to chose from.

Then we wandered some more round the different levels and finished in Core where there was a very hypnotic representation of the earth and microbes.  Just reminded me of my Dad blowing smoke rings whilst I sat on his lap!!!  Oh my god.   Kids loved bouncing all over this and it was funny watching the parents trying to get them lifted high enough to "catch" a hoop.

Then we walked back to the car park, through all the other car parks.   Did not take the bus, no i did not.

In the evening, after a nap for me, and a SWIM for Tooli and a Paddle for Himself, we wandered down and along to the Beach House.  The second of the pub/ restaurants in town.  The second of two. :D  And only Second, because it is further away than the first one :D  The food and service was MOST Excellent.

we had a lovely seat upstairs by the window, where we were lightly toasted for an hour or so before the sun was muted slightly by a cloud, a further hour, and people were asking for the window to be shut

It was quite glorious.  The food was lovely, and everyone in cornwall calls you "my lovely".  We had chicken, and tacos, and ice cream.  Lush.   And even more fantastically - there was a juke box. A FREE Juke box.

Our lovely server was delighted at my joy.   which was also shared by Tooli and Himself when I dragged them along to look at it.   I'd love a juke box.   Imagine the songs you could put inside it.   I thoroughly enjoyed my selection of Beach Boys, God Only Knows, The Crystals, Then he Kissed me and then Bobby Darrin, Mack the Knife.

Himself -  Thin Lizzy, The Boys are Back.  Tooli wasn't so sure about a lot of the songs, but Dancin Queen was there, and she is definitely that!

In the extra - where Tooli is looking to the window - our Apartments are the white ones on the hill in the background.

We wandered back home, watched some doggos having the best time on the beach, and then had some cake and bed!
