Fishing in the Evening Sun

After a day of sunshine and showers, Val and I had a short walk by the river in Matlock.
"What's that bird on the branch over the water?" - dull question in retrospect (nb, reference to eyesight yesterday :) )
Beautiful female kingfisher sitting quietly on a recently fallen branch, waiting for a sight of some fish.
What a treat!!
