A short - but productive - trip to Lancaster this morning. As a member of Lancaster Footlights, I’m entitled to two free tickets to each of their productions (excluding Pantomime), something I’ve not previously been able to take advantage of because I’m usually appearing in said productions!
Due to other commitments, I couldn’t be in the autumn production but I can go and see it. Only slight drawback to the free ticket scheme is that you have to attend the box office in person, hence the trip to Lancaster.
Whilst we were there, we also booked tickets to see another show and went to HMV to get a couple of things I was after. Good job we went this week, as the store is closing on 10th August. I got the impression it was more of a lease issue rather than a lack of trade as the assistant said they hoped only to be absent for a couple of months.
Finally - and to avoid an unnecessary trip into Kendal this afternoon - we picked up some bread from M&S. Not sure how those yellow stickered cakes got into the basket though!
The afternoon has been spent in a more leisurely manner before I head out to Absent Friends rehearsal this evening.
