Lacecap

The blue lacecap hydrangea in the front garden is looking good just now, and behind it the Mexican fleabane has been flowering all summer.

An interesting day food-wise. A mere handful of cherries at lunch time caused my blood-sugar to spike horribly. Tried a new recipe for our evening meal, one that MrM had found somewhere on the internet - lentil and walnut balls.* We had them with baked aubergine and some broccoli, and they were surprisingly tasty. And had very little effect on   blood-sugar levels.

*The recipe was actually called "lentil and walnut meatballs" but it seems pointless calling them that when they contain no meat...
