Bumbling

The weather has been warm and dry today, hazy hazy feeling, and dashed skies with layers of cloud upon cloud.  I took a warm afternoon walk as computer issues ended my work day rather abruptly!

Very much lucked out with the main blip toward the end of the walk in the meadow - a group of globe thistles were very attractive to the bees and caught my eye too.  According to my phone, this is a buff-tailed bumblebee - upon looking at other pictures where you can see the tail better - it very much does look like one!

In the extras there are some very puffy seeding thistles in the wildflower meadow that has completely gone to seed, and the bramble patch, with a ridiculous amount of blackberries in.  It has been a very good year for the blackberries - I wonder how many are actually in that picture, which was a small fragment of the total in the one bramble patch!

Thankfully my holiday in September is now all booked up, I found a room in the hotel that said it was fully booked, albeit the room is a bit more expensive than hoped for.  It will balance itself out though - the cost of food and drink is much cheaper there than here. Can't wait to go!

I've really been enjoying listening to Mort Garson this afternoon too. Funky electro-prog-ambient-weirdness. Very much up my street!

The technological problems at work have meant I have to re-jig my week and go to the main office on different days this week - and so re-planning is in order with various appointments at home. It will all work though - thankfully lots of things are flexible.  I really appreciate being able to plan my work around when I want to (and need to) be in various offices or working at home.

Early blip today as I have a group meditation in an hour - time for a tomato salad.  Sorry TazGF!
