Garden Tidying
I did some dead heading today, the garden has gone a bit wild while I was away.
The pink rose is one Sabrina bought me for Mother’s Day it has a gorgeous scent.
I harvested all the tomatoes and kept some to eat over the next few days but the others I slow roasted in the air fryer then put them in the freezer. They are delicious like that when used in pasta or on a pizza.
We have lovely neighbours…BUT…the young woman next door was mowing her lawn after work with her mum (she has a husband and two teenage lads who do nothing!
She said, ‘I’m fed with this mowing the lawn I think I’ll get fake grass.’
I couldn’t hold back - I told about the life underground that would die and and how bad plastic is for the environment, she just smiled and said that she couldn’t afford it anyway. Her garden is massive without a single flower. These are the ones who also use Round Up everywhere. Why have a garden at all?
Rant over.
This morning was Aqua Aerobics and we had to share the pool with a group of older people with mobility issues which was fine but it meant I had to go on the wrong side of the pool. As you know I am not a swimmer and always like to face the edge so I can grab the bar if need be. So today I had my back to the bar. I coped but I was out of my comfort zone!
Had a nap when I came home and it was after that I pottered in the garden.
Book and bedtime now, goodnight Blippers. :-)X
