Driving to Cornwall 1964

This postcard depicts my memories of camping holidays in Cornwall.every year we packed up the Hillman Husky and drove from our home in Maghull to same campsite in a little place called Grampound.
We had such wonderful times there and it’s the only I saw my Dad really relax. He loved it and the fact that the landlord of the pub always remembered his name and welcomed him with open arms.
He would stop at pubs and bring us all a lemonade and crisps while he went back in pub to chat to the locals. Mum stayed in the car with us.
