Energised
I managed half a day at the controls but I was just too tired and too headachey after yesterday morning's migraine. The afternoon passed with a series of YouTube videos about radio, and a music podcast, all curiously enough from people in sunny Mancunia. The podcast – an excellent interview with Peter Hook – I'd listened to before, but I must have fallen asleep the first time because I started to recognise bits and pieces. But I was so tired I dozed in and out and missed chunks of it again!
Mum and Dad came round at teatime for cups of tea and to deliver some shopping, after which I read my book for a bit and sorted out some photos from The Greatest Gathering.
I tried Mum's latest round of strawberry jam at lunchtime. It is very good. As a back-up test, I scraped what was left on the knife onto a plastic tray and left it outside for the wasps, who at this time of year are hungry for sugar. They seemed to be yumming it up too, wriggling their tails in ecstasy, and much too busy to notice the roving photographer behind.
