Happy anniversary Mr L

31 years ago today, I married my best friend. I cannot believe that it is 31 years since that day. A lot has happened since then and we're probably closer now than we were then. It hasn't always been easy but we've worked at it and I'm so glad we did. 
We love spending time together exploring new places, so this morning we put the bikes in the boot and headed towards Llyn Brenig and Llyn Alwen to do a ride around the lakes. The terrain was difficult at times and not really suited to my folding bike's thin wheels but the scenery was spectacular. If you haven't been, I highly recommend it. There are about 5 different cycle rides for different abilities and the one we chose was moderate difficulty and was 10 miles long. I absolutely loved it. It was one of the best bike rides that I've been on. The lakes were better than the more popular Bala. There were butterflies everywhere - it was beautiful. 
After a cuppa and a Big Feast (remember those?!), we got back in the car and drove another 30 minutes to Betwys-y-Coed. I loved it there too. We walked up into the forest along the river and then ended a perfect day with a chippy tea.
