Beach & Common
The tides were favourable today so H and I had a delightful walk along the beach from West Runton to Sheringham. We also enjoyed a Ronaldo's gooseberry ice cream before returning over Beeston Bump.
My beach photos were rather uninspiring so instead you have some wild flowers. The common area of ground near West Runton is full of wild flowers and this persistent bee finally managed to push its way into the flower of the Common toadflax to receive its prize of pollen. The common has huge areas of Old Man's Beard which seems to a sort of wild clematis and has pretty much taken over many of the other shrubs there. The white flowers are very attractive and then when it goes over, these silvery seeds appear (which I presume is where it gets its name from). I fear it's choking lots of the other plants there though, see extras.
