is all that is left of the lovely little plant I bought in June.. I think I killed it with kindness.. watering it too much in the heatwave!!  Apparently it would have preferred to be drier.. who knew. When I saw it going grey I watered it more.. but then i spied a tiny bit of green and decided to prune it right back (collecting lots of seed as I did) and parked it somewhere I wouldn't water it so much and in more shade.. and look!!!  It is coming back! ... a bit!
Mr S went off to Devon to a cousins memorial by train .. he left early , met his sister in Reading (already on the train from London) and they travelled to Exmouth together. Met cousins who gave them a lift (lucky since the taxi co said it would be an hour before they could be collected!!  The trains were a shambles on the way back but 12 hours later and he is home.. Last week Scotland, today Devon and tomorrow Ipswich.. well travelled!
I have been busy at home trying to clear up a few things before heading out early on our trip tomorrow. We cannot be late leaving as we are meeting our youngest off a train from Edinburgh in Cambridge on the way past!!
