Greengages
An early start today to go up to my previous home in Liss to work in the garden. Many of the shrubs had become overgrown and there was work to do clearing bindweed alongside the garage. Merlin came with us and sat patiently as we cut and sawed back vegetation and stuffed it into sacks.
After three hours we had no more sacks we could fill and much more than we could fit in the car in one go. So we tidied up and fitted as much as we could into the car. We’ll collect the remainder of the sacks at the weekend. There’s still much to do but at least a start has been made.
So it’s been a productive day and interesting to see how the garden has matured. Together Andy and I designed and created both the front and back garden, and planted it with many attractive plants. I thought it had faired well.
Back home I sat down and drank a large mug of tea and ate a few juicy greengages that I picked yesterday at the allotment.
Wishing you a good weekend.
