Unpacking

Trying to get the clothes out of the suitcase wasn’t always easy today. But the first load of washing is done, there’s food in the fridge, and I’ve cleared most of the chaos our lovely house- and catsitter has produced. The bowl full of chopped raw potatoes that she left in the fridge still puzzles me, but I‘m now cooking them for a potato salad. 

She did a good job looking after the cats, which is the main thing. Confident Chaiyya quickly became her favourite, and got a lot of attention this week, I think. Only Rani (=extra) hasn‘t quite forgiven me yet for leaving her in the hands of a stranger.
