Olden Days

We cruised along the Nordfjord today to Olden, where we spent the morning looking round, before an afternoon excursion along the Nordfjord.

The church was built in 1759 and is one of the few cruciform churches in Norway. The interior (see extra) is all timber and is lovely. However, the church is no longer used for services, as a new larger church was built further along the road in 1934.

Norway is so pretty and the scenery is staggeringly beautiful.

Now back on the ship and looking forward to dinner and an MR James ghost story, ‘Hell Hath No Fury’, being performed in the theatre by the ship’s theatre troupe (no other cruise lines have an acting troupe, as well singing and dancing troupes).

Off to Flam tomorrow.

I hope you have all enjoyed today.
