Everyday Life

Little Cutie

Grace was up before me (Brian too - he had work!)  The arm painkillers certainly help me sleep well. We just chilled and talked rubbish most of the morning and Grace got ready for her drive to London while I made Daal to be an early lunch for her and tea for me.

Brian arrived home shortly after, and we had a quick lunch, I washed the mountain of pots in the kitchen then we took a short drive to Cherry Fields for a little walk and to find a Blip.

I was prepared to go with one of the photos of fruit I'd taken, as the trees there are well-laden. I'd only taken my phone as my camera is too heavy until my arm is back to normal.

We walked down towards the river, and  saw plenty of bees, butterflies and some adult muntjac deer in a nearby field. Brian took photos of them but they were too far away to get a decent shot with my phone. When we came back we walked through the wooded area.

This young deer was standing on the path, alone. We expected it to go into the bushes, but instead it walked right up to us. It was so friendly I thought it must be a dog and we had identified it wrong. Brian says it is definitely a deer! I loved being close to it but didn't try to stroke it - I'm not sure being so friendly with humans is necessarily in its best interests.

Home then, for coffee and to watch today's rugby league games. Last night Wigan were back to winning ways and had flashes of being back to their best - we need to be, it is the business end of the season now!

We just watched Hull KR beat Castleford quite easily and now we're going to watch Huddersfield v Catalans from the other end of the table!
