Old gate 2

These are backfilling, from today´s walk to Casa a´l Ríu.  Casa a´l Ríu is a very small settlement on the edge of Santolaya, which is where the republican supporters met at the start of the Civil War - the Republicans met in the bar there, the Francoists convened at the house of the local priest. Casa a´l Ríu used to be on the main road through Cabranes but the road has been straightened and left the little settlement alone down an unused stretch of road. Main is an improvised derelict gate which goes nowhere., Extra 1 is a community laundry which served the half dozen households in its vicinity and now stands neglected beside the road on the edge of the area.  2 is a collection of cats - I guess someone feeds them,  3 is a derelict bench and barn door.
