Saturday: Verbena “Buenos Aires”

Verbena seedlings arrived in today’s post, there were supposed to be 48 plants for £12.49 plus postage of £2.50 - they are Thomson & Morgan seedlings bought through another plant company - I thought them a bargain but when I looked closer at the small clumps of seedlings a large proportion have 3 or even 4 seedlings per cell … even better bargain! :-)

Lots of Bramley cooking apples are falling in the very high winds we’re currently having - I’ve peeled and chopped enough to fill a small container in the freezer, they’ll be handy in the winter. Also made some blackberry and apple compote to have with shop bought custard which is tonight’s pudding :-)

We watched a couple more episodes of “George Gently” which we are both enjoying very much :-)
